“Don’t forget about me, Veronica.”
“I could never.”
I’m halfway through Season Two of Veronica Mars and I really miss Lily Kane. I absolutely adored how Lily could be extremely intelligent and somehow terrifically reckless too. I loved that she wasn’t perfectly nice, but neither was she perfectly horrid.
Mostly, I think it’s fantastic how unafraid she is of her own sexuality. She never hides or covers up her body she just owns it- in all senses of the word. I would call it a kind of courage- but honestly, there is no fear in this girl. If other people felt threatened by her presence, well, shit, it was their god damned problem, not hers*. She just exuded this power. Very cool.
*Which, for the record, I do not believe is the only ideal way to celebrate your body.
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Trailer (x)
What I’m getting is that all the women in Middle Earth ran off and set up their own civilization somewhere….
I am not happy with the ads that show up on my dashboard, disguised as just another post from one of the superb blogs I follow.
I have hand-picked all of these blogs for a reason (or several). It then must be obvious that I have deliberately decided against some other blogs, including Ford’s tumblr.
So, why the fuck is it on my dash?
Make it go away.
“I still think the same way I thought as a child. I still worry. I’m still frightened. Nothing changes.” —Maurice Sendak

I went off to Google something and stumbled upon what I am pretty sure both kindergarten me and current me would agree is the Best Google Doodle ever.

Happy Birthday to Maurice Sendak’s BUMBLE-ARDY!
